Not quite the same thing, really. I think with gaslighting, the gaslighter knows (at least on some level) that they're bullshitting. But here, in both the case of the AI bubble/market and the "experts" in courtrooms, they are true believers. They really think what they're spouting off about is the truth. But that's exactly what makes them so dangerous. If you refer back to the article I wrote (and sang!) called The Sound of Certainty, that gives a little more of the flavor of what's happening here. At least, that's what I think.
